Lessons from the EU

At the lecture, professors Jean-Francois Hennart of Tilberg University, and Tom Roehl of Western Washington University presented on the multinationals in Europe, and how they adjust to EU Institutions and tastes. In the presentation, they examined the persistence of differences within the European Union, differences such as customs, tastes, regionalism, values, and the different varieties of capitalism. They then explained the implication for the firms operating in Europe, as well as the effect of EU-wide economic policies and trade regulations.
