On October 11th, 2012, the 45th EU Special Lecture by CEO of Reddal, Mr. Per Stenius, took place at Yonsei University Daewoo Hall #B120. In his lecture, Mr. Stenius discussed the subject of “Capturing Market Opportunities between Northeast Asia and Europe”.

Reddal is a company executing expansion to Northeast Asia, and other European companies are expanding to NEA. Korea is a hub in Northeast Asia with important trade ties and an increasingly large talent pool.

The EU-FTA has been highly positive for the Korean economy and European businesses alike. Korean companies lack technology, as the chaebol structure prohibits supply chain from developing own technologies. However, middle-sized companies can now buy European companies and become more independent through the EU-Korea FTA. The agreement was a big plus for Reddal’s decision in entering Korean market, which increased significantly the ease of conducting business in Korea.
