On September 26th 2013, the SME Forum on "The Idea of European Integration" by Professor Jung Hyun Chul of Yonsei University department of philosophy took place at New Millenium Hall #701. In his lecture, Professor Jung examined the founding roots of European integration by tracing the history of Europe, involving ideas on stoicism and Christianity. He drew upon the thoughts of Immanuel Kant and the idea of perpetual peace and universality, as well as a speech by Victor Hugo, who presented the idea of an integrated Europe, cooperating together to bring about maximum benefits.
